As business analytics professionals, we operate in a dynamic and changing environment. External forces, such as healthcare policy, technology and customer expectations, are shaping our industry more than ever. Join us as we unlock the key trends and skills needed as proactive, strategic thought partners to our clients.

With your valued input, PBIRG will address this challenge in our upcoming 2017 AGM theme, “GAINING THE EDGE: The changing role of the business analytics professional – what we need to know to keep ahead of the game”. Our annual general meeting (AGM) will take place from May 21-24, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, Chicago, Illinois.

Proposals should include ideas for presentations, panels and workshops for member training and development. Our desire is to have sessions which are more dynamic, interactive, and experiential compared to the traditional lecture with Q&A. Content should be engaging and actionable with clear key takeaways. Our preference is for client and industry persons to partner to facilitate each session, and this should be noted in your proposal. It is recommended that attendees be given key takeaways in a creative format that they can use to take learnings back to their respective organizations.

To achieve our theme’s educational goals, we are requesting proposals around three topic areas as listed below.

We are looking for shorter presentations of 30 minutes in length. Workshops, panels and other immersive activities may be given more time, as needed. We anticipate the presentations to take place on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 22-24. Panels may be scheduled during general sessions.

Track 1: External Forces – Policy Updates and Key Trends Which Impact Healthcare Marketing; Emerging Customer Groups or Dynamics Affecting Healthcare

Track 2: Uncovering Insights and Using Creative Approaches to Solve Problems

Track 3: Actioning Insights and Pull through in the company

Research Excellence Session – This year we are looking for 3 or 4 presentations that show new innovative ideas, techniques or behaviors. These presentations should be 20 minutes in length and will be presented during general sessions.

We hope that you will consider sharing your knowledge, experience, and insights to make the 2017 AGM a truly valuable learning experience for all of our members and participants. We hope to provide excellent case studies, innovative approaches, panels, and special insight that will help AGM attendees in this quickly evolving business analytics profession. We are also hoping to attract Marketing Research and allied professionals involved in Pharma, Biotech, Medical Devices and beyond.
